Prada, which has said it may float when markets recover, said revenue in the six months to the end of July exceeded 930 million euros ($1.2 billion).
The group, whose stylist Miuccia Prada is considered one of the world's most trend-setting designers, said revenues were up 70 percent in Asia, followed by the United States and Europe.
Prada and Miu Miu brands were the best-performers, it said.
Big luxury names PPR (PRTP.PA), Bulgari (BULG.MI) and Hermes (HRMS.PA) posted higher first-half sales and the world's No.1 luxury group, LVMH (LVMH.PA), said it was confident about the rest of the year.
