Neinver names new marketing and retail director for Europe

Neinver, the owner of outlet centres in Spain and Poland, has promoted Sebastian Sommer to the role of marketing and retail director for Europe, joining the two areas under the same leadership.

Sommer is currently business development director and managing director for Germany. The latter is a position he has held since joining Neinver in 2010.

As the new marketing and retail director for Europe, he will lead the company’s marketing and retail operations across a portfolio of 24 retail outlet centres in seven countries.

Group managing director Carlos Gonzalez commented: “We are combining these two main areas as the company embarks on a period of expansion that will double the current GLA of its pipeline in the coming years. Sebastian has been an important member of our team since he joined the company eight years ago. He will be key to our strategy of maximising the performance of our brand partners and providing our customers the shopping experience they demand.”

His appointment will strengthen Neinver’s position as it continues to open new centres and redevelop existing sites. The group has recently opened a new location in Prague, has new projects in the Netherlands, France and Germany and plans to refurbish several centres in Europe.

During the last four years and as business development director, Sommer was responsible for the strategic direction and execution of Neinver’s new business developments and acquisitions across Europe.

Vanessa Gelado, currently investments director at the company, will assume responsibility for the expansion strategy.
