Valentino names Janice Lam CEO of Greater China
Italian luxury label Valentino has appointed Janice Lam as CEO for Greater China. Lam will report directly to group CEO Jacopo Venturini.

Lam will spearhead Valentino’s expansion into Greater China by overseeing the label’s business strategy and focusing on retail growth. Her main objective will be strengthening Valentino’s brand awareness and consolidating its presence in the region.
Working closely with Venturini, Lam will focus on implementing Valentino’s customer-centric strategy, optimising the customer experience, tapping the couture collections and leading the label's digital transformation.
In her new role, Lam will act as brand identity ambassador, with the ultimate goal of enlarging the Greater China team. Lam has extensive experience in the fashion and luxury sector on the Asian market. Before joining Valentino, she spent several years with the Richemont group, where she was managing director China for Alfred Dunhill, and at Prada, where she was in charge of the Italian label’s China business.
Based on preliminary figures, Valentino reported a revenue of €1.231 billion in 2021.
