Tous appoints Xavier Rebés new digital strategy insights and innovation director
Tous is continuing to beef up its management team with the creation of a new digital strategy and innovation department. The Spanish jewellery brand has recruited former Caixabank employee Xavier Rebés for this new position.
Revés will serve as digital strategy insights and innovation director at Tous and will report directly to the company's CEO, Carlos Soler-Duffo. Up until now, the executive was head of digital strategy and new business at the aforementioned bank and has also worked for companies such as Oliver Wyman, ValueClick and PwC.
"Xavier's appointment will be key to achieving new goals in digitalisation and in other areas such as innovation, as well as obtaining a better understanding of the expectations of our current and future customers," said the CEO of Tous.
The creation of this position is in line with the jeweller's objective of giving the digital area an integral role in its strategy. In addition, the company stated in a press release that this new post will help Tous anticipate trends and search for new ways to connect with consumers.
Tous, which a few months ago unveiled its new logo in a global campaign, is currently in the process of rolling out its 'Tous Next' strategic plan, which includes the development of a new store format and its implementation in the company's retail network of around 700 stores.
The century-old brand enjoyed solid growth in 2021, with sales of 384 million euros, only 2.8% lower than in 2019, and net profits of 22.3 million euros. The company's goal for 2022 is to reach 400 million euros.
