Italian sportswear brand Sergio Tacchini has signed an exclusive licence agreement with the Batra group for the UK and Eire, relating to the production and distribution to major retail groups, such as JD Sports, of the brand's apparel and accessories belonging to the Sport, Leisure and Heritage lines.

 
 

"This exclusive licence will add strategic strength to our group's portfolio, by offering an even broader range for our clients to choose from," said Rajiv Batra, the Batra group's Executive President.

“The new licence deal will help us develop further in Europe, expanding into new regions, and it is also proof of our fine relationship with JD and Batra, a supplier for our Heritage collection”, said Patrizia Bolzoni, General Manager of Wintex Italia, owner of the Sergio Tacchini brand.

Indian group Batra is specialised in apparel production, distribution and marketing. It is based in London and Mumbai, and operates offices in India, Singapore, China, Indonesia and Portugal.
