Schiaparelli confirms Bertrand Guyon as design director

Schiaparelli has selected Bertrand Guyon, a veteran designer currently at Valentino, as its new design director, the house confirmed on Tuesday.

The French designer called Schiaparelli a house with "exceptional heritage" that is "extremely chic" and embraces "boundless creativity."

Guyon, who has also worked at Christian Lacroix and Givenchy, will be responsible for both Haute Couture and pret-a-porter collections.

His first collection for Schiaparelli will be showcased during Paris's couture week in July.
