Peter Lindbergh to shoot 2017 Pirelli calendar

German photographer Peter Lindbergh has been selected to shoot the 2017 Pirelli calendar, it has been revealed.

The creative first snapped the famous annual publication in 1996, before repeating the experience in 2002. This will be the calendar's 44th edition.

The 2016 calendar hit the headlines last year by departing from the calendar's traditional formula of featuring supermodels shot in the nude. Snapped by Annie Leibovitz, the publication instead contained black and white images of inspirational women including Serena Williams, Patti Smith and Amy Schumer.
