Original Penguin on Thursday touched down in Aspen to open a new pop-up store next to the Aspen Mountain Club on 555 East Durant Avenue.
The 800-square-foot store nods to Original Penguin’s 60-year history and heritage, as well as the Colorado city. The pop up features Aspen-inspired finishes such as walnut wood textures and white backdrops, and it carries the brand’s full apparel and accessories collections.
In addition, the Aspen pop up serves as a preview to Original Penguin’s new store concept that is based on a well-balanced, playful aesthetic.
Oscar Feldenkreis, Chief Executive Officer and President of Perry Ellis International, stated, "We are excited about the new store. Not only is it in a strategic location that appeals to our core customer but it rounds out our efforts in building our retail vision for Original Penguin."
Prior to the pop up opening, Perry Ellis entered into a license agreement with Sector Apparel Group to launch Original Penguin in southern Africa.
