The biggest names in Italian fashion will be joined by foreign designers like Burberry, Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. Trussardi, Nicole Farhi and Calvin Klein will also be making a comeback to the catwalks this year.

The Ermenegildo Zegna, Dolce&Gabbana, Jil Sander, Burberry and Roberto Cavalli shows are on Saturday. Bottega Veneta, Emporio Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Vivienne Westwood, Prada and Missoni will be on Sunday.

Monday will see shows by Gucci, Etro, D&G and Versace. Italian fashion legend Giorgio Armani will close up the shows on Tuesday.

Some 10,000 fashion players and 450 journalists are expected at the event.ROME, June 15, 2011 (AFP)
