The Dutch women’s retailer, La Ligna, announced that it will make a restart. With the restart, 42 of its original 52 stores will remain in business.
The company went bankrupt in February after it had a 10 million debt. A group of investors, including a part of La Ligna’s management, took the company over.
At the time of its bankruptcy, La Ligna had a workforce of 210 employees. With the restart, 135 jobs will continue to exist.
La Ligna opened its first branch in 1984 in the city of Groningen and soon expanded. La Ligna has been designing its collections in-house since 1992.
