Inditex's Pull&Bear opens California-style first Parisian flagship

Pull&Bear is finally making a big retail statement in France. The young fashion retailer owned by Spanish apparel giant Inditex already operates 40 stores in France, and has recently opened its first Parisian flagship, taking over the premises formerly occupied by two Celio group shops at 65 rue de Rivoli, as anticipated by FashionNetwork last February. Pull&Bear has replaced casual womenswear retailer Jennyfer, while a new Bershka store took over from Celio.

The Pull&Bear store shares premises with Bershka, another Inditex label - Pull&Bear

Pull&Bear was founded in 1991 and until now was present in Paris via retail corners only, at the Citadium and Forum des Halles shopping malls. The new store extends over 550 m2 on two floors, the ground floor for the women's collections and the first floor for menswear. The building's façade is remarkable, combining neoclassical architecture with ultra-colourful, cartoon-style imagery.

Pull&Bear landed in France in 2005, and its latest store's interiors feature a new take on its recently introduced, California-inspired retail concept. The West Coast mood is evident in the surfing-style van, pine wood finishings and neon lighting, though it blends in with the building's style, retaining the original ceiling mouldings and hand-painted tile floor. The main staircase acts as window display, showcasing the collection's most striking items through a clever mirror effect.

Spanish apparel giant Inditex operates 970 stores in 72 countries, its retail brand portfolio featuring among others Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius and Oysho. In 2016, Pull&Bear generated a revenue of €387 million, up 10% compared to 2015, while the group's consolidated global growth was 8%.
