Handbag label Vendula sees major China expansion after Pure Shanghai

After a successful show at Pure Shanghai in October, British handbag and accessories label Vendula London is celebrating the opening of two stores on the mainland, and is set to open three more by the end of the year.

“It's been a crazy and unbelievable journey. The speed they do things at in China is incredible and I am yet to find time to go over the success of our sales!”, said Vendula director, Raymond Lam. The brand opened its first concession store in Hangzhou on 27 November and their second store last week in Wuhan. 25 new stores are expected to follow in 2016.

“This has been a direct result of participating at Pure Shanghai for the first time, so many thanks to the Pure Shanghai team!”, added Lam. Launched in 2003, Vendula London offers quirky fashion accessories inspired by everyday beauty, from animals and birds to shop fronts, scrapbooks and vintage style.

Pure Shanghai’s next edition is scheduled to take place on March 16-18 of 2016 in partnership with Chic, China’s biggest fashion trade marketplace. The event will welcome over 1,200 brands and 125,000 visitors across the three days.
