Fast-growing Gymshark names product chief
The Gymshark brand is one of a handful of UK names that are growing fast by making the most of the gym-to-street power-trend. And with the business getting bigger and bigger it has now appointed a new chief product officer (CPO).
Danielle Petesic has taken on the role and joins after having spent almost four years at an even bigger name that has ably exploited the trend having been vice-president of product development at Lululemon. While there, she was responsible for development of all product categories and product engineering.
It's a key move and underlines the huge global potential that the Gymshark brand has.
Petesic also previously worked on production and product development at Mansur Gavriel, Alice & Olivia and Helmut Lang.
With Gymshark expanding around the world, the person who is going to lead its product creation from end to end and also its marketing and supply chain strategy will be a linchpin of the operation. She'll have a team reporting into her that currently numbers 130 people but is expected to grow fast in the year ahead.
Petesic said the firm’s focus on “ethics and product integrity completely aligns with everything I stand for”. She also praised the business’s “very progressive view on the future of the fitness and apparel industry”.
