Italian luxury fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna Group has named Luca Lo Curzio as its new United States chief executive officer.
Lo Curzio currently serves as chief marketing and digital officer, and will assume the new role "as soon as the Covid-19 emergency ends," the Italian company said.
Prior to his time at Ermenegildo Zegna Group, Lo Curzio held roles as head of global marketing, sun and luxury retail for Luxottica Group Spa; manager at management consulting company Bain & Company; marketing manager at Danone's beverage division; and product manager at L'Oreal.
He will replace Robert Aldrich, who will leave the company on April 30 to pursue an opportunity outside the organization, the company said. Following Aldrich's exit, Tom Kalenderian, chairman of Zegna USA, will serve as interim U.S. CEO.
“I thank [Aldrich] for his contribution to our business in North America and I wish him all the best for the future," said Gildo Zegna, CEO of Ermenegildo Zegna Group.
"I congratulate [Lo Curzio] to have taken this challenge to write another chapter of Zegna USA."
In late March, the Zegna family and the Italian luxury group's senior management joined many other members of the fashion industry in contributing to the fight against Covid-19, donating €3 million to Italy's Civil Protection Agency in order to help doctors, nurses, researchers and volunteers on the front lines of the pandemic.
