E-commerce expected to grow 30% annually until 2018 in LatAm

According to a new research report, e-commerce sales in Latin America are expected to grow at a considerable 30% annual compound rate until 2018. By the end of the period online trading will reach $84.9 billion in the region, found market research firm Télam.

To benefit from this growth, representatives of PayU Argentina recommend online retailers to implement user-friendly interfaces and earn their customers' trust by providing safe payment methods.

Overall retail sales in Latin America reached $1.8 million in 2015, according to eMarketer. Meanwhile, retail sales in Asia amounted to $8.5 million, $5.2 million in the US and $4.2 in Europe.
