David Yurman appoints Emily Yueh first chief of people and strategy

American luxury jewelry brand David Yurman announced on Thursday the appointment of Emily Yueh as chief of people and strategy. 

In this role, Yueh will oversee all human resources and corporate strategy priorities worldwide. In particular, she will help redefine David Yurman’s corporate strategy to focus on growth with a focus on its people.

Yueh is the first hire under Evan Yurman since he took over as company president in November 2021. She will report directly to him. 

“Emily brings vast experience leading the betterment of global management and corporate strategy of some of the world’s most influential businesses,” said Yurman.

Prior to joining David Yurman, Yueh spent nearly 15 years as a partner at McKinsey & Company. Most recently, she served as a leader within the global organization and strategy practice, where she was responsible for leading culture, change management and talent priorities. 

As a co-founder and former chief operating officer of McKinsey Academy, Yueh also brings strong operating experience, having helped scale the business to be one of the largest executive leadership houses in the world. She also served as a key sponsor of Lean-In at McKinsey, an initiative focused on elevating the role of women and diversity in business.
