Dan Orwig joins Peerless Clothing as president

Peerless Clothing International on Monday named men’s wear veteran, Dan Orwig, as president.

Orwig will depart his current role as group president of men's apparel for Itochu Prominent USA, where he has served for the last six years, to take over as president on September 14. In this role, he will report to Peerless CEO, Alvin Segal. 

In addition to his position with Itochu, Orwig has been chief executive officer of the Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council and is a board member for Delivering Good Inc., which was formerly K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers.

Orwig is no stranger to Peerless and he has, in fact, partnered with the American apparel manufacturer and menswear specialist for many years on product development and supply chain solutions. His appointment is expected to help solidify that long-standing relationship.

"Dan has worked closely with Peerless for many years," said Segal. "We are excited to have him join our executive team. With Dan's strong track record working across the retail marketplace, I am confident his leadership will position Peerless well for the future.”

Orwig will replace John Tighe, who left the company earlier this month, following two-and-a-half years in the position.

Peerless is the largest producer of men's and boy's tailored clothing in North America, supplying most major department and specialty stores in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It is the licensee for brands including Lauren by Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Karl Lagerfeld Paris, and more.
