Brands in Paseo de Gracia make 29% of all luxury sales in Spain, while Madrid’s hip Salamanca district concentrate 16%.

Barcelona is also the largest Spanish destination for non-EU luxury shoppers. The city recorded 47% of the sector’s turnover, and Madrid 39%.

The data, presented at the launch of the summit Shopping Tourism & Economy, belong to Global Blue and were published by the Spanish magazine Centros Comerciales.
